On 29^th July 2009, at InterContinental Abu Dhabi Hotel, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China held a reception to celebrate the 82^nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army of China. H.E. Gao Yusheng, Chinese Ambassador to UAE and his wife attended the reception. Major General Mubarak Salem Alradha Almazroui, Commander of the U.A.E. Land Forces, was present among the distinguished guests during the evening. Senior Colonel Teng Hong, Chinese Military Attaché to UAE, presided over the reception.

Sr. Col. Teng Hong, Chinese Military, Naval & Air Attaché to UAE, lauded in his speech the fast development of Sino-U.A.E. military cooperation in recent years. He noted that under the guidance of H.E. Mr. Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of Chinese Central Military Commission, and H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Commander of the U.A.E. Armed forces, and thanks to the similarities in two countries' military doctrines, friendly cooperation between the two armed forces has been in continuous progress and is gaining further momentum of development. Teng also expressed his wish that, under the great leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the U.A.E. government, people and Armed Forces shall make more glorious achievements in building this beautiful nation.
